~~~Are we really so Different?
We, to then, need to look at the heart of people. A person’s outside appearance will NOT tell you what they are like on the inside. Only by getting to know that person can you see what’s in their heart. I know of several ladies that have children with disabilities and they are very loving children. Unfortunately society sometimes wants us to believe otherwise. That’s such a shame and breaks my heart.
~~~Memorial Day
Are you teaching your children what Memorial Day is about, why you get together with family and friends, or do you take for granted that they already know? If so, you are probably not alone.

~~~Building Up or Tearing Down
Let’s settle in this morning and talk about the feelings of our children. Are we uplifting them or tearing them down, maybe even unaware that we are?
~~~"Friends"
As the summer went on, I noticed some things that weren't sitting right within my spirit about these particular children and the way they were acting.
I prayed.

~~~It's Just "Material"
How and what are you teaching your children about material things?
~~~Jesus Our "Lion"
I asked my kiddos this question the other day, and these are the answers they gave me:What is thefirst thing that comes to your mind when you think of a lion?

~~~Patience
They depend on us, AND they need us to help them along the way in learning right from wrong. They need to see us exercise our faith and yes, even our patience, so they can learn to do the same. Are we going to do it perfectly, no, but as long as we parents keep our eyes focused on the Lord, praying and listening for His guidance, well, we’ll be doing the best we can and what God has called us to do and how!
~~~WWJD

~~~How Do We Know The Truth - Pt 1
God is TRUTH!
How can we teach truth to our children? How about the same way God teaches truth to us!
~~~Our Rock-Our Salvation- Our Lord
God's our rock, our firm foundation.
How do we know that? Take a look at what it says in 2 Samuel-
“For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?”Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day, but day by day each verse you read, each prayer you pray is building a solid house and a solid foundation! The foundation of God’s truth!

~~~Forgive
Jesus expects us to forgive others. No matter how many times they may sin against us. Look what it says in Colossians chapter three. -
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.”
So, how can we teach this to our children? I can answer that in two words –
MODEL IT!
~~~Encouragement from “Big Red” aka Secretariat
***Editor’s Note: Ladies, we have a NEW writer with us. She is the author of Jake & Jesus a children’s book. Kelly will be writing about parenting and other life lessons, and she comes to us with a lot of wisdom. We are thrilled to have her as a part of the team. Please give her a warm welcome.
Life lessons from the Word of God. How difficult could that be to teach a seven, eight or even nine year old? Well, when you have a child that age, maybe you will find out for yourself. It can be harder than you think, but definitely worth it.
