My name is Cynthia P. Willow. I'm the author of “The Kingsley Adventures,” “The Karini and Lamek Chronicles,” and “The Hell Tales.”
I’m a home-schooling mother of three, a full-time college student, and a spare-time writer of faith-based fantasy and fiction.
Which writer inspires you?
C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling, and Phyllis A. Whitney are some of my traditionally published favorites. But, I have to say that I read mostly Indie books since I’m an Indie author, and I’m inspired by Sophronia Belle Lyon and Brad Francis to name a couple. There are so many excellent Indies out there. I have a list on my website.
Have you written other books? If so, what are the titles?
Oh yes! “Patty Gayle and the Legend of Kingsley,” “Return to Kingsley,” “Hell’s Christmas,” “The Land of Flames,” “The Legacy of Zedbulla,” and more that haven’t been released yet.
Why do you write?
To glorify God, provide clean stories to readers, and because I really enjoy it.
Where do you get your ideas from?
God gives me most of them and some have come from my children.
Do you use an outline, plot, or just see where the story takes you?
I just go with. I let the Holy Spirit lead.
Do you prefer to read ebooks, paperback, or hardback?
I like to read paperbacks, but I also love my Kindle.
What are you currently working on?
“Hell’s Hallway,” the prequel to “Hell’s Christmas.”
How important are book covers in the buying process?
I believe the cover is the main factor in the buying process. If the cover doesn’t catch my eye, I don’t buy it, unless it’s written by one of my favorite authors.
What's your favorite quote?
“A good book isn't written, it's rewritten.”
― Phyllis A. Whitney, Guide to Fiction Writing
What's your favorite Bible verse?
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2nd Corinthians 5:7
Do you write a blog?
Yes, I blog mostly reviews I write of other books. If you want some good recommendations, my blog is a good place to start. Here is the link: www.cynthiapwillow.com/under-the-willow-tree.html
